Accounting Software Choices are Important
We work with the major accounting platforms and systems used by entrepreneurs today. We prefer cloud based accounting systems for ease of reporting and sharing of information.
Many small business owners have an existing system they subscribe to. A short list includes:
- QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
- FreshBooks.
- Xero.
- Wave
- Industry specific software including Toast ( for restaurants) AppFolio ( for property management firms etc.).
Accounting software and systems is a big decision. There in no particular platform that we cannot work with. Ideally we prefer cloud based software for ease of accessing and sharing data.
We can assist with all of the above platforms.
The software has to have some key characteristics:
- User access isn’t limited to one person. We require our own log in.
- The platform has the standard reports. Profit and Loss with Balance Sheet. + Receivables and Payables.
- Transactions can be imported.
- Payroll can be entered with journal entries – or downloaded.
- Bank reconciliation is possible.
- The fees are reasonable.
- System integration is nice. Time sheets and other apps can be integrated. ( Not essential but nice)
